Our weekend was nice. We got out more than usual. Saturday night we had dinner at our friends' house, they have a LO a few months older than C. I was super proud of him, he hasn't been around a ton of little kids, but he was so good with their LO, so curious and affectionate and playful. It was really fun to watch. Yesterday we took C to the food show, walked around and ate some samples let C try pretty much everything. Turns out he LOVES pickles!
I'm SO so excited for tomorrow. It's MH's birthday and we've both taken the day off work. The nanny will be home with C all day and we're going to head out as soon as she gets there and have a day date. We're still coming up with a plan but we're thinking Starbucks, breakfast, shopping for C's birthday, lunch, maybe the casino or maybe the rock & roll hall of fame, drinks, and dinner before heading home. Eee!
We had a pretty productive weekend. Did some work in Clara's room in anticipation of moving Margs in soon. Clara got a new pair of shoes and heavy weight socks. I shopped for birthday cake supplies. My parents, older sister, and grandmother I haven't seen in oh gosh 4 or so years now (these are her only great granddaughters, and she has yet to meet them!) are coming on Saturday for Margs's bday party. The ladies of the house, myself included, are snot factories. Hopefully we'll get this out of the way by the weekend! Hopefully it will be a quiet week with no one home sick...

Morning. My H is leaving for a work trip today. I'm really glad everyone is well for the most part. This will be the first time I've been alone with all three over night. My mom will be helping with bedtime though, so that's nice.

geners, Your day date sounds so fun! Enjoy it! It's funny you mentioned C loving pickles...EG tried them for the first time on Saturday and couldn't get enough. H & I both love pickles too, so it's not a shock haha.
byjove, I hope everyone feels better soon. This time of year and all of the snot that comes with it is the pits. FX you're all better by the weekend!

Morning! My H has an interview for a dayshift job this afternoon. He has never worked days and it would be so nice. He's trying to get experience in all departments so he can get a supervisor job soon. This job would probably give him the push he needs for it.
I've been feeling wistful this morning. This time last year most of us were so close to having babies! I miss all excitement and anticipation of the last few weeks of pregnancy. Maybe I'm crazy? Lol It doesn't help that I started making photo books for the grandparents. Seeing tiny R and little F from December is bittersweet.

+1 to feeling wistful/nostalgic. I am getting all of the feels with EG's 1st birthday coming up. I try to tame my "I need a newborn again" fever by remembering how tiring those first few months are. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
I am getting so excited for her birthday party though! It looks like almost everyone invited will be able to come. This weekend is our first family Thanksgiving gathering, then actual Thanksgiving next week, her party on Saturday, then on to Christmas festivities. Let the busy holiday season begin!
I'm digging into work, when I'm not distracted by anything related to our impending move. also feeling nostalgic about all the tiny babes of about a year ago. I really have no desire to be back there any time soon.
+ however many on the nostalgia. I don't need to do it all over again anytime soon, or most likely ever again, but I look back so fondly on those last weeks, we were so nervous and excited and trying to soak up our last days/weeks as a couple before everything changed. And while I'm finding this age so fun, really every new age because it's so fun to see them grow/change/learn, it's hard to think that they aren't babies anymore and he's only ever going to grow older and someday he's going to go off to college and wahhhh!
Boooo. The nanny has kidney stones (I do feel really terrible for her) and can't work tomorrow!! So much for our day date. At least I had already taken the day off so I can be home with C. MH can switch and take Friday off instead of tomorrow, and she's said she will be back to work Weds/Thurs as usual and can work Friday too, so we will just move our date to Friday. But I don't wanna wait, I was really excited for tomorrow!
