Does anyone else's Feb child still deal with this? I just noticed it on DD1, and I was able to get most of it off with coconut oil, but it made her hair look so greasy until 3 baths later. When does it go away for good?

Yes! Mac never had it as a baby, but it's bad now. I try to just comb it out when his hair is wet, he hates it but I still do a bit every time. We use head and shoulders once a week as well. I need to do coconut oil, but he hates having his hair touched so I'm sure it will go badly.

I read when they were babies that it was fine and you didn't have to do anything. So I didn't. Now she still has it. I still do nothing because she doesn't want me to mess with her head and it's all I can do to comb her hair. I'm reasonably sure it will have to be removed sometime manually tho...I don't think it goes away... No one can really see it because she wears a pony tail every day. With my son, I removed it when he was a baby with little hair by just using a toothbrush to sort of loosen it and then the edge of the toothbrush to scrape it off. He now doesn't have it...

DS had a pretty bad case of it a few months ago. I used coconut oil too, and also noticed he was a greaseball for a while. I've heard that one of the causes is overwashing their hair, but we don't do his hair daily because he screams like he's being waterboarded. So I'm not sure why it came back, but he now HATES it when I pick at him. It hasn't come back, thankfully *knocks on wood*. sorry I can't help, but I hope they grow out of it soon!

I finally tried coconut oil! He actually handled it well and we got most of it out. He looks greasy today, but I'm not bothered by it. It got most of the cradle cap off, still some on there so we're trying again in a couple days. Hopefully this is the end of cradle cap for us.

Tried the Mustela and it did seem to loosen it but I still feel like I will have to pick off each bit individually. I get about one scale/bath, so hoping it magically causes some to disappear on it's own too.
