How are you and your LO(s) doing?: HL is doing really well I made the decision to stop BF'ing because it was causing me way too much anxiety. It was a constant reminder of the NICU stay, a bad experience with one of the nurses in the pumping room, and being separated from H and AG.
Get things off your chest and vent about it: I already did this with the Mental Health Check-in. I can link it later.
Do you have any questions?: I'm going to make a post about this, but does anyone else have a Home Nurse coming to their home?
Things to share?: I have my PP Check-up today. I'm getting brand new furniture delivered on Saturday and a new stove delivered on Tuesday.
What made you smile this week?: HL wraps her tiny finger around my finger when I feed her a bottle and holds on so tight. It melts my heart every time. Seeing both girls sleeping in my room makes me smile too.
How are you and your LO(s) doing?: Amazing. We've been out a long while though.
Get things off your chest and vent about it: The twins are almost three years old.. so well over 2-1/2 years out of the NICU.. and I still flinch when I think someone might criticize my parenting due to a horrible nurse there.. and I still struggle when twin A refuses to eat her dinner because of the forced g-tube we only used for 1-1/2 weeks. This stuff sticks around!
Do you have any questions?: Nope, just joining in for two reasons. One to help support others who are dealing with NICU or the aftermath.. and because unless I'm really lucky.. I'm heading back in about six or seven weeks ><
Things to share?: I'll try to remember to intro. I have almost three year old twins and two teenage girls. I'm pregnant with our last chance for a boy.. and it is a boy
What made you smile this week?: Remembering that I am almost four weeks past the gestational age that the twins were born at.
