After having a rough past few days, I woke up feeling a little better about things this morning. EG slept over 12 hours last night, which gave me a break from having a barnacle baby, and she woke up in a great mood this morning. To top it off, this is my last week of work for the year so I am basically just counting down until Friday. I have tons to do so hopefully it flies by.
Morning! C is sleeping slightly better after coming off his two week sickness/plague. Hopefully that trend continues. We had his first birthday party yesterday after rescheduling, and the weather & illnesses kept away most of our guests. It was small, but it was fun. And now we have SO MUCH leftover food.
I only have 7 days of work left and I'm off for 2 weeks!! Hallelujah! So we did secret santa in my office and I haven't gotten a single thing yet. Boo. We had a very busy, but good weekend. It snowed about 5 inches here so that was exciting.
I just realized that EG had her MMR shot last Monday. That, plus the two new teeth, are probably why she was stage 5 clingy to me this weekend. It had completely slipped my mind until now. This shot was no joke!
thatgirlrachel I actually called the pedi this morning because on A's patient portal it says his MMR vax is overdue. They told me that he'll get that one in March. I'm so confused, but just going with it.
Margs is a mess. Teeth and a little cold the ped says. She was not a happy camper at her 1 yo appt today. I felt bad how glad I was to drop her off at daycare earlier. I'm working from home this afternoon. Hoping to rest and get a little me time. This no sleeping thing is really starting to wear on me
I am about to lose it, but trying to stay calm until I can actually speak to someone. I called the doctor this morning to see if they had results from the lead test (last Tuesday). We live in an old house and requested for it to be done early. A had his regular visit and we immediately went down to the lab and had the "finger prick" done for the lead test. The nurse left me a message that they don't do the lead test until 15 months and she didn't see a blood sample in his record that they could even test. WTF??? I'm waiting for her to call back and I'm going to try to be nice when she does. That was quite the ordeal and would prefer not to put my kid through it again.
Follow up: his blood clotted before they could test it. Apparently this is rare, but it can happen. I'm sure it didn't help that it took so long to get the sample. I'm so sad that he has to go through this again.
13liza our doctors don't give the first one at 12 months anymore and instead wait until 15.
byjove sorry to hear you are in the same boat as us with the sickness, hope you can catch some sleep!
Brought DD2 to the dr today because she was crying and pulling on her ears. No ear infection but a lot of fluid and a sore throat. He also saw 4 teeth coming in. She has her 1 year appointment on Thursday so I guess we will how she is doing then. My mom is flying in on Saturday for three weeks so I am hoping for a lot of babysitting time😊😊
