I cannot handle the cuteness thelittleredm! It almost makes me want another puppy. Almost.
Ds is a grump so today should be fun. He had too much fun at the grandparents yesterday and no nap. He spent most of the day outside runkong around, playing in the sprinkler, etc. He was up for the day at 5am. Not cool. Dd slept in so that was nice.
It's suppose to be hot again today. I think I should try to childproof the basement and set up a play area so we can hang down there.
ETA: runkong? What kind of autocorrect is that? I was aiming for running but it reminds me of running amok. I'm leaving it.

I am glad we are here today. I am exhausted E kept getting up because she needed her pacifier. I really want a nap more than anything, but of course H has hockey tonight. E was so very chatty yesterday, I think she is discovering her voice a bit more.

@orangcrush, Brother (turns 4 on the 29th) has always loved his Sister and it has just continued to grow! From the beginning, he's wanted to help with everything and used to hold her before bed for a bit every night. The other day I came into the playroom and he was at her swing giving her a binky and when I walked in he told me he was "taking care of my baby". And it's vice versa, he is the first person she laughed for and she always gets the biggest smile when she seems him. My H and I love to see the love between them and I'm hoping it just continues to grow.

Movers come Monday morning, the house is still a disaster and I have several loads of laundry to get through. I'm just ready to get moved and settled so I can stop feeling like a bad mom for focusing so much on the move.
@orangcrush dd has been interested in R since day 1, living him pacifiers and "helping" me burp him. Actually now he is older and interested in things like toys it has gotten harder. She is always taking things from him proclaiming they are "mines". I'd say she gives him a toy 1 for Every 8 times she steals one.

Guys- my Mother's Day present from H arrived yesterday so I got it when he came home last night. I cried when I got it. It's a necklace and the charm has the birthstone of Anne.liese, Ma.ggie and Em.ilia. It's my new favorite piece of jewelry it's so amazing. I am so happy he included all of our girls on the charm.

inomniaparatus, J loves "his baby" too! He is obsessed. He actually pushed a kid at daycare yesterday in a show of fierce protectiveness. The kid was curious and was walking up to the bucket seat to see the baby. J literally jumped in between the kid and the bucket, pushed he kid, and yelled, "no! That's my baby!"

pibblemom, I was very much one and done, we even bought a two-bedroom house because I never expected to need another one.
TW -- with the deterioration of my mom's health and her passing, I realized I was doing DS an injustice. My H's support helped during that time but it was really my relationship with my brother that helped the most. I didn't want to DS to ever feel alone in case anything like that ever happened to me or my H.
So here's the not so pretty update on my life.So when I took C for her four-month needles, I asked them to look at L also because his vocabulary is large but hr doesn't communicate well. (doesn't say yes or no, me mine you your )The health nurse suggested that we take him for assessment with the ages and stages people because she believes he has a developmental delay. Especially since we also suspect that DS 1 has undiagnosed high functioning autism, this just makes me sad for little L.

DS1 loves his brother, always has. He's really helpful with him but I have to be careful with him because sometimes I think he's going to smother the baby with his love. That said, if he's in a bad mood or he's being interrupted from watching Netflix on the iPad by me asking if he loves W, he'll tell me "he's annoying" with no explanation until I leave him alone Lol
So, we met with the first daycare lady that would be taking care of Noah and I really like her! Plus, she's super inexpensive and she keeps her group of kids small. Noah loved her house and her daycare designated areas so that's awesome, too. And he got to meet one of the other kids and played well with her. Can't wait for him to start with her next week!
Also, I'm signing off for the day. I've spent too much time on the forum nonsense. I do want to keep up with you ladies so I'll definitely be back for an update at some point to see where things settle.
@orangcrush my ds is kind of interested in the baby now. I know our older kids are May babies and a smudge younger than some of the older siblings so maybe that's why they weren't interested from the get go? He liked to help *me* by fetching pacifiers, diapers, and toys but is only starting to interact with dd on his own accord now. But I'm still terrified he's going to accidentally smush her or something so I might unintentionally be limiting it with all my "be careful around the baby!" warnings.
inomniaparatus, when we moved a couple states away I felt like the worst mom on the planet. My kid has never had so much screen time or such little attention from me. I definitely spoiled her after we got settled because I felt so bad.
