Hi all! What funny things have your kids done lately?
A sees a lot of my boobs these days since I am breastfeeding Z. Now, if I"m holding her, she will pull down the neck of my shirt and say "Mommy's boobies!" We don't use the word boobies--we say boobs or breasts, so I'm not quite sure where she's picked this up. She has also started pointing to her own breasts and saying "A's boobies!"
We often check her diaper by looking down the back of it and saying "no poop" or "big poop." So now, if I'm squatting or kneeling, A will yank on the back of my pants and say "no poopy!"
So yeah, apparently A is now fascinated with body parts....
My sister is very pregnant and due in a few weeks. She lives far away but we have been video chatting and talking to LO about her little cousin, the "baby in Auntie's belly." Apparently this is very interesting to LO and last night she lifted up my shirt and said "I put a baby in your belly." Oh and her daycare teacher told me last week in a very soft voice "LO says there's a baby in Mommy's belly." Nope...not quite yet!
mamamd, when I was pregnant with Z, we told A that there was a baby in my tummy. But then she started saying that there were babies in her tummy, in DH's tummy, and in the tummy of several daycare teachers (fortunately both slim and not so slim). Everyone had a baby in their tummy. When we took her to the pediatrician for a check up, the ped asked how we were preparing A for the new baby, and I told her about "there's a baby in Mommy's tummy" but that A also would tell the ped that there was a baby in the ped's tummy as well. The ped paled a bit, and said "there better not be!", ha ha.
