Hi ladies! Just dropping in to say hello
I've been feeling a bit better lately, and had a few extra minutes on my hands so I thought I'd drop by to see what's going on. Forgot that it was Sunday and I'd never be able to catch up on spam and jump in...but did at least want to say hi while I was "here!"
It's been so long now. It is something that I still think about probably weekly but I guess I shared that just now because as a family member and classmate I found it comforting to see teachers at the mass. It's not easy to find the right words majwv8. I think if you just be present for these kids that's so important.
numbersgirl08 I like how you put it, the highs are higher and the lows are lower. Having one in the baby stage and one in the toddler stage I can see contrast between the younger and older ages side by side. Babies are just so in the moment and just need what they need. Toddlers are either amazing or awful. There's no in between.
LOL Gia's the in between! She's a bit more advanced than a baby, but can't do things that a normal toddler can do. (Some days I'm glad, some days I'm not) Her tantrums usually involve being unable to do something she wants but physically can't. At least I know what I'm in for!
I'm late catching up as always and missed a lot, but I can see lots of hugs are in order. What a huge crap this week was for way too many good ladies. I hope next week brings better days for everyone.
Parenting is hard and we all face different challenges at different times. I'm just glad to have you ladies here to lean on. We've been in teething hell the last couple days and my patience is wearing thin. My usually good eater and decent sleeper has been up so many times the last few nights and hasn't eaten a full meal in days. I think he's a walking hangry mess and I can't wait until these darn molars come through.
chewbaccarock I'm sorry to hear about your babysitter, but I'm glad things will still work out for you. Hope S has a great start at school this week!
I don't want to start the next spam with a depressing post but @majw8 I'm sorry. And workinit just wow. How heartbreaking. I can't imagine what brings someone to that place - especially someone so young. Someone on FB just posted the textimg chain about that girl who is being tried because she basically "bullied" a kid into suicide and wow is that fucked up.
I saw this on FB and read some of their conversations. Very disturbing and I think they should hold her responsible to a certain degree
A student at my school committed suicide yesterday. This is going to be a long week... :-(
hugs. My student whose brother committed suicide last year is returning this year and will be back in my class in the spring. It's tough stuff. I think in my 4 years there have been 2 suicides at my school.
