So, if you've been following my whining, they sent me home at 1:30 for failing to progress with cervical changes. I was at a 2, 50% effaced.
Forward a few hours and contractions were coming quickly and hurt like a bitch. I was crying like a crazy person and had my H call the doc while we drove back to triage. Checked in around 5:30 and was 4 cm, 90% effaced. Admitted! Epidurals are amazing. Now just chilling..
Robert Lavalle was born at 2:35 am, weighing a hefty 8 lbs 5 oz, 20 inches long, with huge monkey feet. I pushed for 2 hours and 20 minutes, finally getting an episiotomy to help him fit through. He didn't want to breathe at first and had to be suctioned, but is now doing great. He just had his first meal (formula since my body isn't making colostrum yet) and is now sleeping. I'll post a pic later. Time to finally get some sleep.
